Thanks for getting in touch!

Not sure what the issue might be here, I've tried running on both a Windows 11 and Windows 10 device and it runs fine for me on both. Do other games made in the Godot engine run fine for you?

Hi! Thanks for the detailed response - it's really helpful to have an idea what was causing the issue, so appreciate you taking the time to pass it on to me :)

Honestly not sure what might have been causing the issue, but guessing I might have done something odd with the export settings for game resolution/scaling by the sounds of it! Glad you've been able to get it working though

Bruh I'm really trying to make a YT video on this, but its not working!!!

I guess it doesnt work on linux? Is there a way I can fix this??

Hi, any chance you could share a few more details regarding the issue? Happy to help if I can

Like, when I try to Install it on linux, It stops. and when I try again it doesnt work :/

like it goes halfway, and stops! xD

No worries - might be worth trying the following:

  1. Right-click the X86_64 file
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click the "Permissions" tab
  4. Check the "Allow executing file as program" checkbox next to "Execute"

Haven't tried this myself though as I've not got a computer running Linux at the moment

There's also some great advice from Arquivo Morto Games  further down in the comments on this page if the above doesn't work

Let me know if you manage to get it up and running

Im right clicking the  X86_64 file but nothings happening, is there a specific file for me to right click?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I've installed Ubuntu on an external drive to test, and it's working fine for me. The steps I took were:

Open downloads folder:

Right click on the file, and click "Properties":

In the popup which appears, select the "Permissions" tab, and enable the checkbox for "Allow executing file as program":

Once this is checked, close the popup and just double click the file to run.

Let me know if this works for you - if you can't reach any of these steps let me know what the issue is and I'll try and help.

Thanks so much for playing! Loved the video, glad you had a good time with the game and thought your theories at the end were great - wish I'd thought of them when making it!

its not letting me install

im on linux

Hi - sorry to hear that the linux build isn't working for you - is there an error message when you attempt to run the file?

No, but it is a problem with downloading it in general it will say "installing" for a few seconds and then stop, i don't know if it is a problem with my computer or the game.

Thanks for getting back to me - I've not got a computer running linux to test it on at the moment, but the following steps were recommended to me as a good starting place:

  1. Right-click the X86_64 file
  2. Select Properties
  3. Click the "Permissions" tab
  4. Check the "Allow executing file as program" checkbox next to "Execute"

Let me know if this helps in any way, if not I'll see if there's anything else

Fun and enjoyable game. I did encounter a bug. The first time I found the workshop key, I couldn't unlock the door. Resetting fixed it. It's included in the video.

Thanks for playing! Sorry about the bugs, I'll try and figure out what's gone wrong so I can prevent the same issues cropping up in future projects, glad you were able to work around it though. Really appreciated the feedback you gave at the end of the video too!
